Wicked Saint
by Veronica Eden
View in Library Catalog
High school bully book. Gemma enters senior year of high school in a new school. She doesn’t want to be notice or part of the popular crew. She lived that life before and wanted no part of that. The king of the school Lucas has other plans for her. As you read the book you discover why she wants to leave that life behind her.
Texas Outlaw
by James Paterson

Great read, had everything. Fast paced, Texas ranger, shootouts, romance, drug runners and best of all, an ending I never saw coming.
New Kid

Graphic Novels are not my usual preferred genre but I gave this title a try and am happy that I did. This book about a seventh grader changing schools and his experiences in this more exclusive, less diverse school gives a great POV.
Summer Of '69
by Elin Hilderbrand

An upper class family in the summer of 1969. On Massachusett's Nantucket Island area. I enjoyed reading the story and reminiscing about my life at that age (20/21). Well written. I now want to read my stories by this author. She has written twenty-three more novels. Great summer reading.
Thank You, Amelia Bedelia

It is a funny book, Amelia misunderstood all Mrs. Roger's tasks but finally she saved the day by baking an apple pie. This book was a little harder than my reading level but with a little help I did it.
Looking For Alaska
by John Green

Looking for Alaska was one of my favorites when I first read it back in high school. Now a college graduate, and I wanted to see how it would hold up. There were still many things to love about this story. It's easy to read, has likeable characters, and is a fairly straight forward plot that does try to tackle some of life's deeper questions. From a slightly more mature perspective, I question these characters and their actions a little bit more than I did several years ago, but I still think it's worth a read, especially if you have never read any other John Green books before.

The Mother Tongue
by Bill Bryson

This book is an interesting look at how the very complicated English evolved over the centuries to become the modern world's foremost language. A must read for those interested delving into the history of English.
