Puppy Dog Pals Pups On A Mission
by Disney Book Group
View in Library Catalog
The puppies wanted to play a ball but they couldn't find it. Bingo and Rolly were looking everywhere but finally they found a ball in the bathtub where they left it. I like this book because it is easy to read and the puppies are cute.

Girl In Reverse
by Barbara Stuber

I recommend this book. It is set in the 1950's and is about a Chinese girl adopted at 3 years old into a white family. The story is told from the point of view of the girl and is about her struggle to fit in. There is prejudice that she has to deal with. It was interesting and I enjoyed it.
Danny And The Dinosaur
by Syd Hoff

I like this book because Danny likes dinosaurs like I do. When Danny went to the museum and saw dinosaurs he wanted to play with one. In this story Danny meets a live dinosaur at the museum and goes out into the City with him for a day of adventure.

This book was labeled as young adult fiction, but I genuinely think anyone who likes stories about college-aged people learning about themselves and connections with others. The story was told from the alternating perspectives. One belonged to college freshman Penny, who is quirky, but not in an annoying manic pixie dream girl way. Her voice was fresh, funny, and real. The other perspective belonged to 21 year old Sam. His voice was distinct from Penny's, and I enjoyed following their individual struggles, as well as the unique ways their stories intertwine. This book was a great beach read that I highly recommend to people of all ages.

great book of young girl’s life in the southern marshes with basically no adult supervision. includes a murder mystery.
A Long Way To A Small Angry Planet
by Becky Chambers

This book was a little absurd. I don't typically read sci-fi that involves an entirely new universe and various alien creatures, so maybe it's just not for me. However, I did enjoy many aspects of this story. Chambers created an entire universe with new creatures, social structures, and cultures. From a sociological perspective, it was fascinating. The relationships between the characters were definitely the most intriguing part of this book. The plot itself left a lot to be desired. It truly was about the journey and not the destination. If you enjoy world building and escaping into complex relationships between various species, then this book is for you. However, if you like an adventure story driven more by plot, you may want to look elsewhere.

This is book 2 in the Royal Hearts Academy series. It’s a story about a bible loving nerdie girl that basically goes unnoticed by everyone in the school or so she thought. Somehow she has caught the attention of the most popular heartbreaker in the school. No matter how much Cole try’s to ignore Sawyer he just can’t

A young, divorced widow takes a job as a tutor with a wealthy family at their summer home on the coast of New Hampshire. She soon finds herself in love with one of her student's two older brothers. Unfortunately, there is a deep history of rivalry between the two brothers and when she offers her heart to one, it is initially reciprocated but later takes a heartbreaking turn. Happily true love wins out in the end and the book ends on a hopeful note.
