It is always an experience when we get the experience of living on the other side of the tracks. The author did an excellent job of expressing what her experience was like when she wore the robe of a patient instead of that of a doctor. She had the experience of lying in a hospital bed and watching and hearing the treatments that patients get from their medical team. She was able to experience the coldness, insensitivity, the mistakes, the delays, dealing with attitudes and the attitude of being treated as a subject, as a bed #. She saw and heard, ego, self-satisfaction, nonchalant attitude from the medical team caring for her. This was an eye opener for her and made her determine in her heart that she would not display these attitudes in her practice.

This book was labeled as young adult fiction, but I genuinely think anyone who likes stories about college-aged people learning about themselves and connections with others. The story was told from the alternating perspectives. One belonged to college freshman Penny, who is quirky, but not in an annoying manic pixie dream girl way. Her voice was fresh, funny, and real. The other perspective belonged to 21 year old Sam. His voice was distinct from Penny's, and I enjoyed following their individual struggles, as well as the unique ways their stories intertwine. This book was a great beach read that I highly recommend to people of all ages.

I recommend the book because it is good and sad. At the beginning they get a dog and at the end the dog dies.

This book starts off so interesting. A man is traveling alone and is approached with a woman who wants to take his identity so she can escape death. He becomes so enthralled by this woman who drugs him and steals his passport that he just has to meet up with her again. She later abducts him and brings him to a very fat woman who used to know his aunt. Then it just gets very boring-in my opinion...
